• Request for proposals are invited for Aaitanit Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation and Sludge Management Upgrade. About Chemonics: Chemonics International, the USAID contractor implementing the Community Support Program in Lebanon, is an international development company based in Washington, D.C. Our main partner is the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and we also work with foreign donors such as the United Kingdom-s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Global Fund. About the USAID-Funded Community Support Program (CSP) in Lebanon: USAID-s Community Support Program is designed to improve the delivery of essential services and enhance economic opportunities, primarily in Lebanon-s North, South, and Beqaa regions. Through its support of municipalities and underserved and vulnerable communities, CSP aims to improve lives and reduce tensions that contribute to conflict and violence in the country. Description of Intervention: CSP is soliciting proposals from eligible companies in the construction and/or water/wastewater treatment industries for “Aaitanit Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation and Sludge Management Upgrade” The overall objective of the assignment aims to rehabilitate the plant and provide a sustainable solution to reduce sludge volumes, enhance its quality, eliminate odors, and allow Aaitanit WWTP to operate at its full capacity. This entails the installation of a sludge thickening, dewatering and stabilization system with its related equipment and ancillaries as well as the rehabilitation of the plant-s components (civil and electromechanical) as specified in the tender documents.
