- Tenders are invited for Communication and Media Consultant. Closing Date: Sunday, 26. Jun 2022 Intervention Sector(s): Communications & Media Remuneration range: 5000 to 6000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 4 to 6 months - TBD Tasks • Act as the focal point on all COVID-19 Communication and Media activities; • Support the development of a communication strategy and plan with respect to COVID19 in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the government entities, namely the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH); • Perform roles in managing the media relations and counterparts; • Work closely with the WHO and the MoPH to produce TV/radio adverts on COVID-19 and importance of vaccination; • Contribute to development of COVID-19 communication material like SMS, radio scripts, etc. targeting key stakeholders and at-risk groups; • Create a high-caliber bloggers and influencers database interested in advocating for COVID-19 vaccination; • Identify trusted community groups such as community leaders, religious leaders, health workers; • Meet, train, and follow-up with identified bloggers and influencers and collect data from them (links to blog posts, videos, posters, etc.); • Document lessons learnt to inform future preparedness and response activities; • Attend weekly meetings with CDC, WHO and MoPH; • Work remotely or at CRD premises when needed. Experience Required • A University Degree in Communications, Journalism or equivalent; • Previous employment experience (minimum 5 years) in communication, journalism, print media, research documentation and report writing; • Experience with communications work in health fields; • An understanding of communications strategy and the role of stakeholders; • Familiarity with local media, and established network of concepts with local journalists; • Access to communication and media softwares. CRD will not provide access to softwares; • Ability to meet tight deadlines, work independently, and make rapid modifications; • Strong presentation skills; • Fluency in English and Arabic, reading, speaking and writing.
