• Tenders are invited for Communication/ Social Media Expert Closing Date: Wednesday, 20. Mar 2024 Intervention Sector(s): Communications & Media Remuneration range: 2000 to 3000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 3 months The position holder will more specifically have the following tasks and deliverables: Assessment of the existing communication strategies and tools Development of an upgraded communication framework and tools Training and coaching sessions on: Editing, writing and proofreading a wide variety of communications materials for audiences. Creating attractive visuals for digital content campaigns Gathering and developing content and stories for project, partner and donor communications. Ensure accuracy and clarity of technical content. Researching and identifying communications opportunities which may arise during the implementation of on-going projects. Track engagement analytics on digital platforms. Collaborate in identification, preparation, and dissemination of written or visual content and materials in relation to project activities, including blog posts, success stories, learning documents, brochures, and other communication outputs, ensuring consistency, accuracy and meeting the needs of target audiences; Develop and implement social media strategy for I-mpossible on LinkedIn and other platforms. Develop I-mpossible website (For Negotiation) Develop and maintain close contact with project coordinator. Submit training completion report along with any required reports to project coordinator upon request. Ensure all documents and actions taken are documented within the period of employment. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required that may be assigned from time to time by supervisors or Head of Impossible organization. Qualifications and Experience: The consultant should have a relevant Master-s degree and background in journalism/or communication. A minimum of 5 years- experience with a proven professional record working in the field of communication, or equivalent experience in a similar role is strongly desired. Excellent spoken and written English. Excellent oral and written communication and editing skills. Excellent communication, networking and advocacy skills and ability to work with a diverse range of colleagues. Ability to think creatively, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of media landscape and proven ability to develop and implement effective media and outreach strategies. Fast, accurate, creative and versatile writing skills, including for digital media. Strong ability to draft newsworthy stories quickly and easily. Ability to analyze complex information quickly and simply for audiences. Good political and personal judgment. Previous experience with non-governmental organizations is strongly desired.
