Tenders are invited for Compost Suppliers to Distribute the Compost to Open-Field Farmers and Greenhouse Farmers Whose Soils are in Poor Condition Project Name: Agriculture and Rural Empowerment (ARE) program - “Strengthening Lebanese Livelihoods by Supporting Agricultural Production” Compost Winter Distribution (Open Field), Compost Winter Distribution (Greenhouse) and Compost Spring Distribution (Greenhouse). Closing Date: Friday, 18. Aug 2023 Intervention Sector(s): Agriculture, Training & Capacity Building The supplier must have the following • The compost unit must be located within 40km of the South (Saida) • The supplier must have a valid permit from all relevant ministries. • Be able to provide test results from a certified LAB for the compost with the following indicators: - Organic matter - Nutrients - Microorganisms: - Moisture content: - Nitrogen - Potassium - Phosphorus - Carbon - Magnesium - C/N ration - Organic matter - Humidity - P.H - Country of origin - Appearance - Pathogens: Compost should be free of pathogens and weed seeds. - Toxicity: Compost should be free of any toxic materials or chemicals that could be harmful to plants or animals
