Tenders are invited for Development of Municipal Recovery Solutions from the Covid-19 Pandemic. GIZ Lebanon Office launches a Call for tender for Developing municipal recovery solutions from the Covid-19 pandemic. Connective Cities is a German development cooperation implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the German Association of Cities and Engagement Global with its Service Agency Communities in One World (SKEW).[1] The project promotes international knowledge-exchange among urban practitioners from city administrations, civil society, academia and the private sector since 2013. Connective Cities activities enables joint learning, peer-to-peer advisory and the development of joint projects on topics of sustainable urban development. Connective Cities is seeking to hire a consulting firm to plan and implement a program of activities for the development of municipal recovery solutions from the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of this program of activities is the joint development of solutions to the named challenges, the deeper elaboration as well as the further dissemination and scaling ("globalisation") of already existing solution approaches. It is planned to establish COVID-response Working Groups that include representatives of municipalities, in addition to private sector, civil society and national/regional or international experts for specific thematic clusters. In the different working groups, needs-based peer learning activities will be conducted in an aim to developing action plans, prototypes or solution approaches that facilitate municipal recovery from the impacts of the pandemic. The period of implementation will be from the 15th August - 31st December 2021.
