Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for G2PxLebanon - Proof of Concept on Delivering Cash Transfers onto an Account. Description: The World Bank is seeking to hire a firm to conduct qualitative research with cash transfer beneficiaries from both ESSN and NPTP cash transfer programs in Lebanon to inform the value proposition of disbursing benefits onto accounts in the future. Transition from cash to account and choice among a range of financial services providers are key elements of a longer-term social cash transfer vision. The research will therefore identify adoption drivers and product features that would make account-based disbursement appealing to cash transfer recipients, as well as elements that would make them trust a formal financial service provider in light of the prevailing crisis. The task will require documenting the needs and pain points in recipients- financial lives. Experience of recipients with current disbursement mechanisms is highly satisfactory and widely documented in (1) quantitative quarterly basic needs outcome monitoring, (2) qualitative insights collected during focus groups and on-site monitoring, and (3) a third-party monitoring assessment. Results from these exercises will be shared with the consultant. As a result, the assignment is not expected to include quantitative research.
