The overall objective of the intervention aims at rehabilitating the existing WasteWater Treatment Plant (WWTP) of Iaat to eliminate the hazards caused by the disposal of the insufficiently treatment effluent, in addition to expanding the WWTP by increasing its capacity to treat the additional flow coming from the recently constructed wastewater collection network in Baalbeck, Haouch Tall Safiye, Ansar, and Iaat. The two project components, rehabilitation and expansion, entail the refurbishment and/or replacement of mechanical and electrical equipment, the restoration of civil structure and the construction of new structures.
