- Tenders are invited for Legal Expert. The Legal expert will offer 1-day training in the three targeted villages during July. He/She will be responsible to determine the environmental legal framework and assess the situation in the targeted villages during the month of August. The expert will develop a list of recommendation per village that will be used for a roadmap development. Closing Date: Wednesday, 26. Jul 2023 Intervention Sector(s): Environment, Law & Legal Affairs Remuneration range: 1000 to 2000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 3 months The tasks involved will cover the following: Preparation of training material Support in trainings - 1 days per village Prepare a field visit in coordination with the TERRE Liban Conduct field visits to the target villages Determine the environmental legal framework and assess the situation in each village Develop a list of legal recommendations per village Work in close collaboration with TERRE Liban to identify the needs required for successful delivery of project results Attend the regular meetings at TERRE Liban offices Specific responsibilities of the Legal Expert are: To provide administrative and technical support for the planning and delivery of trainings To provide trainings To determine the environmental legal framework and assess the situation in each village determining the priority that needs to be tackled To develop a list of recommendation for each village To assist in roadmap an advocacy campaign developing in training day 2 TECHNICAL DELIVERABLES Training material One-day training in 3 targeted villages Field visit and environmental legal assessment List of recommendations per village in the related field Final report WORK DURATION The activity will be conducted between July 7th and September 30th, 2023 thus the work duration shall not exceed 6 expert days including producing training material, conducting 1 day training per village, assessing the environmental legal situation in each village and delivering an analysis report on the legal recommendations. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor or Master-s degree in one or several of the following areas: Legal or other relevant degree At least 5 years of relevant experience, focused on assessing environmental laws and environmental legal framework. Have previous experience in Lebanon and previous similar responsibilities in implementing similar context projects and activities.
