• Tenders are invited for Pipeline and Ancillaries. SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE (long revision) Request for Bids Works (Without Prequalification) Republic of Lebanon Council for Development and Reconstruction Greater Beirut Water Supply Project Pipeline and Ancillaries (Loan No. 7967 -LE; RFB No: BWW1 - A (RTW)) The Government of Lebanon has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of implementation of the Greater Beirut Water Supply Project (GBWSP). The Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Project-s implementing agency, intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Pipeline and Ancillaries. The CDR now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the implementation of the Pipelines and Ancillaries remaining works, including implementation of about 3.5 km of twin 1400mm ND Ductile Iron Pipes and complete outstanding works in the installed section of the pipeline. The implementation period is estimated for 18 months. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank-s “Procurement Regulations for IPF BorrowersProcurement in Investment Projects Financing” (latest applicable revision) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding document as of Tuesday April 20th, 2021 at the CDR (address below) during normal working hour periods (from 8:00 to 13:00), Beirut local time. Bidders requiring any clarification shall contact the Employer in writing (i.e. only by duly registered correspondences or facsimile) at the address below, or raise his enquiries during the pre-bid meeting. A complete set of the Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of US$ 250 (USD two hundred fifty) in the form of the banker-s certified check in the name of the Council for Development and Reconstruction. Bidders designated representatives are encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid meeting at the CDR offices on Wednesday May 5th, 2020 at 10:00AM, Beirut local time, at CDR premises, and the site visit guided by CDR on Tuesday May 4th, 2021, starting 10:00 AM, Beirut local time, from the meeting point at the existing site offices in Damour area. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the CDR Tenders Department at the address below not later than 12:00 o-clock noon, Beirut local time on Thursday June 3rd, 2021 and be clearly marked “Bidding for Greater Beirut Water Supply Project - Construction of Pipeline and Ancillaries (BWW1 - A (RPW))”. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders- designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below.
