Description:
The objective of this assignment is to provideneeded support that will demonstrate the practice of the 3R principles thatwill reduce waste entering dumpsites/landfills in the Beirut City or Caza ofMatn. In particular, this assignment aims to establish and operate 1 recyclablematerials drop-off center that will promote sustainable waste managementpractices within the community, in line with Article 9 for the establishment ofDrop off Centers of Decree No. 5605 of 2019 related to sorting at source forintegrated solid waste management. The center will serve as a convenient andaccessible location for residents to dispose of recyclable materialsresponsibly.Accordingly, the Consultant is asked to initiate and sustain theoperations of a drop off center with a total capacity of 20 tons/month toenhance sustainable waste management practices in the selected region. TheConsultant will ensure the initiation and sustainable operations of the centerwithin a 12-months timeframe.
