Description:
Tenders are invited for Recruitment for Environmental Consultant Closing Date: Monday, 27. Nov 2023 Intervention Sector(s): Environment Remuneration range: 2000 to 3000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 1 year Mission Requirements: Assessing environmental impacts of PSL interventions. Developing interventions- initial environmental assessment, Environmental Review and Assessment Checklist (ERAC) and Environmental Mitigation and Monitoring Plan (EMMP), in accordance with USAID CFR 216 regulations and procedures. Develop environmental checklists in line with projects- monitoring plans. Ensuring compliance of PSL interventions with USAID and Lebanese environmental regulations. Delivering trainings to RMF/PSL team on environmental compliance, when needed. Conducting visits to projects- sites and ensuring compliance with regulations. Supporting program with regards to environmental compliance, whenever needed Consultant Requirements: Academic Qualifications and Years of Experience: A Bachelor-s Degree in Environmental Sciences or equivalent with at least 5 years of working experience. A Master-s Degree is a plus. Competencies: Minimum of 2 years working on USAID- funded projects. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven knowledge of USAID CFR 216 regulations is a plus. Willing to travel to site of work. Strong communication and reporting skills. Ability to write clear and concise reports. Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic; French is a plus.
