Jan 2023 Intervention Sector(s): Agriculture The USAID-funded Agriculture and Rural Empowerment (ARE) Activity, implemented by Chemonics International, is seeking to solicit concept notes, from legally registered private sector entities and/or agricultural cooperatives/associations, so called “Champion Firms”, active in the Orchard and Vine fruits Value Chain (stone fruits, citrus, grapes, pome fruits and olives) to “reduce food insecurity and ameliorate the value chain stakeholders- livelihoods” by improving their productivity and reducing their costs, increasing therefore their income at both the farm (production) and firm (storage, sorting, processing and packaging) levels. ARE intends to award up to six (6) grants that will be implemented in accordance with USAID and US Government regulations governing grants under contracts and ARE-s internal grant management policies. How to apply Applications should be submitted in electronic copy only to the ARE grant email address: grants@lebanonare.org and should reference RFA No.016. Deadline for submitting the applications is 05:00 PM Beirut local time, on January 16, 2023. Late or unresponsive applications will not be considered.
