• Tenders are invited for Terms of reference (ToR) For Trainer in Accounting and Marketing Closing Date: Friday, 31. Dec 2021 Intervention Sector(s): Trade & Finance Remuneration range: 1000 to 2000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 5 weeks Background Mada is a non-partisan, non-sectarian Lebanese NGO, established and registered in 2000 in Lebanon which aims to reinforce the relationship between local communities and their natural environment for the satisfaction of their substantial needs. With the support of the European Union, Oxfam and MADA are implementing a two-year project entitled “YOUTH CAN: promoting youth economic empowerment in Lebanon”. The project aims to contribute to foster economically, personally and socially active and resilient youth to increase education, entrepreneurship, technical and vocational education and Training, empowerment, participation, and civic engagement of this cross-cohort” in line with the goals of the Lebanon Crisis Response Plan (2019) of youth affected by the economic Crisis and with the priorities of the National Economic Plan to leverage relationships with the National Youth Policy (2012) to increase the opportunities for youth to have an economic active participation and improve the career orientation for graduates. Mada Association, in collaboration with Oxfam GB, supported youth entrepreneurs having their businesses already established, but having them at risk due to the Lebanese economic crisis along with the Covid-19 pandemic. The support was through delivering a capacity building program, financial coaching support to achieve the following objectives: Strengthening the sustainability and competitiveness of youth-led enterprises with high potential for inclusive job creation, and social innovation in Northern Lebanon. Promoting youth participation in the labour market through active engagement of Policy makers and key private and public stakeholders at local and national levels Job brief Mada is looking for a trainer in Accounting and Marketing to deliver 8 training sessions for a women led business working in Mouneh in Berqayel - Akkar. Main role and tasks are described below: Identification of needs: Preparatory meeting with Mada-s project manager to discuss the current situation of the business. Agree with Mada on the training approach to be used with the business. Deliverable: Detailed training plan including outline and timeline, Provision of training materials designed based on the identified needs Preparation of training materials based on the identified needs; Deliverable: Training materials including detailed power point presentations and exercises relevant to each training outline Note: the training material should be submitted and delivered in Arabic. Implementation of the training program through the delivery of 8 training sessions on Accounting and Marketing; for one SME as below: One session is relevant to 3 hours; Provision of 6 individual training sessions, related to accounting, including but not limited to the following topics related to accounting: Lebanese regulation overview; Creating and processing invoice, receipt, quotations etc…; Taxation overview and knowledge; Tracking business revenues and expenses (matching principles); Book keeping (records and archiving); Cash flow statement; Cost principles; Profit and loss calculations. Provision of 2 individual training sessions related to marketing, including but not limited to the following topics: Develop and deploy custom eLearning materials; Monitor sales objectives and results; Online marketing and social media; Engagement with clients on social media with focusing on professional image; Establishment of Loyal clients; Develop social media pages for the business; Traveling to the training location in Akkar - Berqayel; Preparation of pre and post test questions for each phase relevant to reach session provided by the consultant in order to monitor the progress of trainees; Deliverables: Attendance sheet for each session, Pre and post-test; Correction of pre and post-test with recommendation in a template provided by Mada; Development of social media pages for the business. Development and provision of Accounting templates: Provision of templates for the SME, including but not limited to; invoice, quotation, delivery order, book keeping, receipt, balance sheet etc… Deliverable: Templates related to the SME business. Development and provision of one training report: Provision of one final training report, including the completed activities, progress of the beneficiary, challenges etc… Deliverable: One final detailed report including recommendations, in English. Furthermore, Mada project team will work in close cooperation with the consultant in order to ensure that the materials are adequately delivered. Mission timeline Overall mission period is 5 weeks, starting from Jan 12nd, 2022 until Feb 18th 2022. Main work interfaces Internal interfaces Project Manager; Executive Director; The consultant will work with Mada project team in close cooperation in order to edit and finalize the deliverables. External interfaces SME owner Education and knowledge required Bachelor degree in business management, accounting, marketing or any related field - Master-s degree is a plus; Proven experience in the design, development, and delivery of similar trainings related to accounting; Ability to tailor training modules to the specific needs of trainees; Strong knowledge of the Lebanese regulations; Interpersonal skills that evoke trust and cultural sensitivity; Previous experience in working with Food processors and Mouneh is a must. Terms of payment and advantages Service fees (including transportation) Payments will be made at once, upon the completion of the session and delivery of the pre and post-tests results as hard copies, as well as submission of the final report. The trainer will provide Mada with an invoice including her/his fiscal number in order to receive the payment, if she/he has a fiscal number. If the trainer does not have a fiscal number, Mada will be responsible for complying with the competent tax authorities therefore a 7.5% of the total amount received by the trainer will be deducted to be paid by Mada to cover the trainer-s taxes.
