  • Tenders are invited for Trainer - Outcome Harvesting. Closing Date: Sunday, 17. Sep 2023 Intervention Sector(s): Gender issues, Human Rights & Protection Remuneration range: 1000 to 2000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 5 days Background: The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization based in Beirut. CLDH was created in 2006 by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily), which has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human rights violations. CLDH monitors the human rights situation in Lebanon, fights enforced disappearance, impunity, arbitrary detention and racism and rehabilitates the victims of torture. CLDH regularly organizes press conferences, workshops and advocacy meetings on human rights issues in Lebanon and collects, records and documents human rights abuses in reports and press releases. CLDH team on the ground supports initiatives aimed at determining the fate of all missing persons in Lebanon. CLDH regularly follows up on numerous cases of arbitrary detention and torture in Lebanon in coordination with Lebanese and international organizations, and with the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention WGAD and the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture. CLDH currently has 4 offices: Dora, Zalka, Beqaa and Tripoli. Program Profile: Free to Be Me (F2BM) is an inspiring and innovative program that puts rights holders in the driving seat, while supporting the LGBTQI+ movement to an impactful and sustainable fight for its rights. In Lebanon, a vibrant LGBTQI+ scene would lobby and advocate for economic and social justice. Despite progresses, challenges prevail in a highly restrictive legal environment. F2BM-ME will give voice, leadership and bounding to a community of qualified activists fighting to advance a common agenda in Lebanon. The Community of Action (CoA) will foster the growth of grassroots organizations and knowledge-sharing within the community. The program will encompass: i) tailored organizational capacity-building, ii) targeted individual skills development iii) micro-project funding allowing community impact and learning through action. F2BM-ME will be piloted by a project team hosted and benefiting from organizational support from the Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH), designated as the host organization (HO). The program will directly benefit 10 grassroot organizations, a minimum of 15 activists and, indirectly, contribute to uphold the rights of the whole community in the region. Description of the Outcome Harvesting Training: Outcome harvesting is a participatory monitoring and evaluation methodology that the Community of Action (CoA) will be using to identify, formulate, validate, analyze and learn from program and project outcomes. The training will be done for all CoA members. The purpose of the training is to increase the CoA-s knowledge on understanding the methodology and then appoint outcome harvesters who will be in charge of harvesting outcomes assignment outcomes. The CoA will then jointly use the outcomes harvested for reflection, learning, adaptation and planning for the coming year. Thus, the training outcomes will be magnified onto the annual reflection and learning workshop/annual planning. Training Context: The training will be delivered over 3 days throughout the last week of September 2023 (TBD) for a group of 10 individuals, 1 member/ focal point per grassroot organizations/ initiatives. The training material will be provided by CLDH where the consultant/trainer will use to deliver the training. The consultant is expected to draft a pre and post-test survey that will be submitted to the relevant personnel at CLDH along with a final report after conducting the training. The working period, including preparation, training delivery and final report of the training, is estimated to be 5 days. Deliverables: Final report of the training which includes: Background, training objectives, number of attendees in each day, resources person-s profile, venue and dates, explanation over the sessions conducted, analysis of the training evaluation (including pre and post-test, surveys), lessons learnt and recommendations for same future trainings and current project next steps, references used. Monitoring and evaluation tools used (pre and post-tests and surveys filled) and other materials Qualifications: Experience in Design, monitoring and Evaluation, Outcome harvesting In-depth knowledge of the LGBTQI+ context in Lebanon Arabic and English are a must.      Date : 26, 27, 28 of October 2023 (TBC) Location : Beirut, Lebanon How to apply Interested individuals should send their CV and Cover letter by email to recruitment@cldh-lebanon.org indicating in the subject line β€œTrainer Outcome Harvesting β€œ by maximum September 17,2023.
